Meet our founders, Diana Ojeda and Dondrub Wangchuk, whose journeys in movement and therapeutic practices have inspired the creation of Awareness and Flow.

Diana Ojeda

With 20 years of experience in holistic health, Diana Ojeda is deeply passionate about supporting clients  to find healing, self-care, and personal transformation. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in mind-body practices to empower her clients. She believes each human being is the expert of their own life.  Drawing from her background in Zen Shiatsu therapy, Gestalt coaching, Biodanza, and Hara Breathing Therapy, Diana brings a distinctive approach that weaves together movement, healing touch, deep self-awareness and breathwork. She believes in the profound connection between body, energy, mind, emotions, and spirit, empowering clients to reconnect with their wholeness, potential and innate healing abilities. Through a compassionate and integrative practice, guides individuals toward a balanced state of well-being, fostering deep relaxation, stress relief, self-discovery and awareness. As a native Spanish speaker, She is proud to provide her services in both Spanish and English. With a commitment to inclusivity, Diana offers personalized services to ensure that all clients can access the support they need.

Journey to Holistic Healing

  • Although her success as an account manager in the tech corporate sector in Colombia, Diana struggled with a lack of meaning and purpose in her work. The high stress of her role took a significant toll on her, both physically and emotionally.
  • Seeking relief from emotional distress and physical pain, Diana discovered Biodanza, which inspired her to pursue a profession dedicated to supporting others in their holistic health.
  • After moving to Canada, Diana embraced a new path by training in Zen Shiatsu therapy, a body-mind-spirit approach that transformed her life.
  • In 2005, she completed the Intensive Zen Shiatsu Diploma Program and began her private practice. Her dedication to learning and teaching led her to become a student clinic supervisor, teaching assistant, and eventually a full instructor.
  • Recognizing the transformative power of movement on her health and well-being, Diana began learning Tai Chi Chuan and Qigong under Dondrub’s guidance.
  • Continuing her meditation practice, Diana attends yearly Vipassana Meditation Retreats with Andy James at the Harmony Dawn Retreat Centre in Hastings, Ontario.

Professional Growth and Expertise

  • Diana co-owned and became the director of the zen shiatsu school developing her skills as a therapist, instructor and business owner.
  • Her passion for understanding the body’s innate wisdom, inspired her to deepen her knowledge by training in medical Qigong, Sotai, Wu’s head massage, Oriental breathing therapy, Meridian stretching, Thai massage, craniosacral therapy, Vipassana meditation, anatomy and physiology,
  • In 2011, she began teaching Zen Shiatsu courses in the Acupuncture diploma program at Eight Branches College of Eastern Medicine.
  • Inspired by the transformative power of dance, music, and group connection, Diana completed a three-year certified Biodanza facilitator training program in 2016, enabling her to bring this life-changing movement practice to Toronto.
  • In 2018, following her intuition to deepen her understanding of the connection between mind, body, and emotions, Diana embarked on an experiential four-year Gestalt psychotherapy program, undergoing profound personal transformation along the way.
  • Driven by her passion to combine the power of Gestalt with her holistic expertise, Diana completed the comprehensive Gestalt Coaching certification at the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland in 2023.

Dondrub Wangchuk

With over 30 years of experience, Dondrub Wangchuk is dedicated to guiding students toward balance, mindfulness, and resilience. Blending Eastern martial arts and therapeutic practices, his approach emphasizes mindfulness and awareness, patience and progress, and adaptability and individual needs. Dondrub’s classes in Tai Chi Chuan, Qigong and Zen Shiatsu offer a balanced approach to mental and physical well-being, fostering a profound connection to oneself and the surrounding world. Through movement, breathwork, and mindfulness, he inspires individuals of all ages and fitness levels to cultivate a sense of harmony and vitality from within.
Dondrub leads Tai Chi classes that combine structural integration and active relaxation, designed to promote mental clarity and a healthy body. His Qigong classes teach individuals how to cultivate the body’s energy “Qi” to manage stress and promote healing. In addition he offers Zen Shiatsu classes, teaching participants the healing art of touch through rhythmic pressure to promote deep relaxation and healing.
Dondrub’s teaching inspires students to build awareness, reduce stress and cultivate a deeper connection to themselves and their environment.

Journey to Tai Chi Chuan and Eastern Healing

  • 1986: Dondrub began his martial arts journey in Toronto, Canada, training in Kung Fu and Tai Chi. After seven years of dedication, he achieved the rank of Full Instructor.
  • While teaching Tai Chi to the public in Toronto, Dondrub enrolled at Hong Luck Kung Fu School to further his martial arts training. After two years, his passion for Tai Chi Chuan led him to join the Tai Chi and Meditation Centre.
  • At the centre Dondrub trained under Grandmaster Andy James and Shifu Donna Oliver, gaining expertise in Tai Chi Chuan, Baguazhang, Xingyiquan, Tai Chi Sword, Medical Qigong Levels A & B, and Vipassana Meditation.
  • Dondrub expanded his experience through workshops with Grandmaster Chung-Jen Chang in Toronto and by attending the Master Jou Tsung-Hwa Tai Chi Festival in Warwick, New York, where he gained valuable insights from renowned Tai Chi masters.
  • Over time, his practice evolved to focus on Tai Chi Chuan, Qigong, and Vipassana Meditation, earning him the rank of Lineage Instructor at Tai Chi and Meditation Centre.
  • Continuing his practice, Dondrub attends yearly Tai Chi, Qigong and Vipassana Meditation Retreats with Grandmaster Andy James at the Harmony Dawn Retreat Centre in Hastings, Ontario.
  • Currently, Dondrub is a student at Combat Science, Warrior Arts of Asia in Toronto, training under SM JB Ramos in Arnis, Kali, and Eskrima, further enriching his martial arts journey.

Extensive Training and Teaching Background

  • In 1998, Dondrub completed the Zen Shiatsu Diploma Program, mastering techniques such as Zen Shiatsu Therapy, Hara Breathing, Sotai, Meridian Stretching, and Oriental Breathing Therapy.
  • In 2002, Dondrub expanded his expertise to include Montessori education, earning his Casa Montessori Teacher certification from the Pan American Montessori Society. He has since taught children aged 2½ to 6 years and currently works with Daycare Connection and the Downtown Montessori School in Toronto, Canada.
  • Over the next 10 years, he worked closely with students as a teaching assistant, student clinic supervisor, and instructor of Tai Chi and Qigong. During this time, he became the Chief Instructor and co-owner of the Zen Shiatsu School, partnering with Diana Ojeda.
  • From 2011 to the present, he has being teaching Zen Shiatsu courses in the Acupuncture diploma program at Eight Branches College of Eastern Medicine.
